這個夏天，在新加坡國立大學和教授一起做研究，實在獲益
良多，尤其是大大提升自學能力。因為每天都必須要去學新 Singapore 新加坡
的東西，甚至是一些與專業無關的知識，才能完成教授給的 HO, CHO TAI
任務。其次，實習豐富了我的專業知識，這也是我第一次用 (Mathematics)
自己的專業知識去解決實際問題。我意識到需要學的東西還
有很多，課堂只是很小的一部分。另外，能在這花園城市待 Ping Healthcare Pte Ltd
兩個月，感到很幸運。基本上走遍了獅城，看過她的日出、 平健科訊
日落、夜晚，看過她驚豔的建築，看過她乾淨的海岸。以
後，我也會懷念這段每晚可以在克拉克碼頭散步的日子。 Thanks to GIP, I had the opportunity to experience different lifestyles
and the unique working environment in Singapore, an international
Singapore 新加坡 city. A wide range of cuisines like Western, Japanese, Chinese, Indian
and Malaysian was available in Food Court at low price. Singapore
TANG, CHUEN NGAI has great transport system, their MRT and buses were very efficient
MATTHEW and saved us lots of time. The job environment is new to me too.
Conversation with local colleagues was in Mandarin and English,
(Juris Doctor) mixed with Cantonese occasionally. Workload varied every day,

The greatest benefit of an international internship was exposure to
different perspectives. During my time at PECC’s (Pacific Economic Global Internship Programme 寰宇暑期實習計劃 2016 19
Cooperation Council) International Secretariat in Singapore, I
worked with colleagues of various nationalities and background. The
office itself was a melting pot of different ideas and perspectives. I
conducted research on corporate cash holdings in the Asia Pacific
region. It was a bit challenging at first as this was not a familiar area
of research. But with the help of my supervisor and fellow intern,
I was able to familiarise myself with the research area in a short
period of time. The project studied large corporations in the region
and my understanding of different economies in the Asia Pacific
was strengthened as a result. Singapore is a hub for international
corporation and I was impressed by the sheer number of institutions
dedicated to study or to facilitate regional corporation in the city.
While Singapore and Hong Kong are unique in their own ways,
Hong Kong should learn from Singapore's strong emphasis on
international and regional corporation.
