. It is an effective platform for
students to broaden their social and
personal perspectives, obtain advice
on career planning and development
a n d b u i l d u p u s e f u l n e t wo r k s f o r
future development. Mentor-mentee
matching is done based on the preference of the
mentors, their professions and career interests of
the students.

Over the

years, the scale of CUMP keeps expanding.
The number of mentors has sharply increased from
18
in
2002
to
88
in
2014
. They came from a wide spectrum
of career fields including seniors and professionals
from government, financial sectors, consulting and
property management, transport and logistics, FMCG
and retails, IT and engineering, etc.
The number of student mentees has also increased
from
18
mentees in
2002
to
160
mentees in
2014
. In
recent years, student mentees are no longer confined
to undergraduate students of
5
faculties in their
penultimate year. All full-time postgraduate and
undergraduate non-final year students are now eligible.
With the continuous support of mentors, CUMP develops steadily to enhance the exposure of CUHK students. Without their
commitment, the programme would not be such a success. Let's pay tribute to some of the most devoted mentors for their long
service and unfailing support to CUMP.
